  • Buddy Tracking:

  • Fleet Management:

LBS provide a web interface to locate and manage fleet / personnel. This service can be used by transport corporations, courier companies, door-to-door marketing agencies, security, etc.

  • Yellow pages:

Based on their current location the subscribers can find the nearest bank ATMs, cinema halls, drama theatres, shopping malls, pubs, discothèques, restaurants, hotels. The application also allows the subscriber to find out the complete details of any services mentioned above, for a particular location which he desires. For e.g. the user can also get to know the name of the movie currently running in a particular hall.

  • M-coupons:

Subscribers can pull M-Coupons issued by merchants close to his location and can get those SMS ad. After the subscriber receives the message, he can go to the respective merchant, show them the message, and avail the discounted offer. Tel. company’s can offer this service to merchants on subscription basis. This would help the subscribers get valuable information about merchant offerings leading to savings and merchants witness a possible increase in their sales.

  • Treasure Hunt:

A corporate client can tie up with you to sponsor treasure hunt in a specific location
to promote its product(s). For example, Samsung is to provide the ‘Treasure’, e.g. – a 29” Flat screen T.V. that is located in a predetermined spot. The first one to reach that spot and show proof of playing the game can claims the prize.

  • Dating:

Telco customers subscribing to dating service have their profile stored into the LBS platform. This profile may state parameters like, Alias, sex, age, hobbies, work, looking for partner, marital status etc. To look for a date, the subscriber sends a message saying ‘Locate Mate’. This would act as an instruction to the LBS platform to ‘match make’ the subscriber with other similar subscribers. Based on the profiles or defined match parameters, LBS platform searches its database and comes up with similar profiles within the particular cell(s). These profiles are sent to the subscriber in the form of a list of alias. Now the subscriber may choose to initiate an anonymous SMS conversation. This is anonymous because, he is always addressing his messages to a predefined number and the other party’s number is not made available to him. The subscriber can update/modify his profile via the web or SMS.
The chat permissions have already been predefined for all dating service subscribers.
Tel. co can also add a ‘permission request’ sequence for every chat request.

  • City Sight Seeing:

Telco subscribers will be able to send a SMS message to a server requesting for a place of Interest e.g., a historical building, or a cinema. It enables the delivery of location specific to a sightseer.

  • Public Safety Service:

These services will be made available without requiring subscription. They are assault alarm services and vehicles breakdown services, and help speed up the response to incidents.

  • Target-Subscriber Notification:

Individual & group could be notified of the zone or billing rate currently applicable and when the rate change. Telco subscriber will be able to make an informed decision on the expected call changes and therefore shall be provided charging zone information.

  • Traffic Monitoring:

Congestion, average flow rates vehicular occupancy and related traffic information could be gathered from variety of sources including roadside telemetric sensors, roadside assistance organizations and ad-hoc reports from individual’s drivers.

  • Enhanced Call Routing:

The systems have an Enhanced Call Routing service, which allows Telco Subscriber calls to be closest service client, based on the location of the originating & Terminating calls of the user.
